New Grant "Perspective Check" Funded by A*Star

Exciting news! 🎉 Our research team, led by Principal Investigator Weiyu Zhang (Professor, NUS) alongside collaborators, Han Ei CHEW (PhD) (Senior Resesarch Fellow, IPS/NUS), Simon Perrault (Assistant Professor, SUTD) and Wei Yang Ho (Head of Insights, Truescope) has been awarded the OTS grant for our project funded by A*STAR - Agency for Science, Technology and Research.

The project, Perspective Check, uses a “whole of community + AI” approach to monitor and counter harmful online content in Singapore.

By combining AI-driven tools with insights from local communities, policymakers, and content creators, we aim to develop multi-language, multi-modal solutions to detect and address harmful content online.

This initiative is a step towards safer digital spaces and stronger, more inclusive communities. Stay tuned for updates!
