Congratulations to PhD students Kaiyao Zhuang and Yuheng Wang for winning the โ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐๐ฏ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌโ Award at the ๐๐ฅ๐จ๐๐๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ง๐ง๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐๐ญ๐ข๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง! The inaugural competition, organised by the United Nations (UN) and United Nations University (UNU), challenged young innovators to use AI to tackle various environmental challenges. It was a tough competition, with only 12 international finalists selected to pitch their ideas in Macau. Their pitch was out of 130 submissions from 47 different countries. Their project, โ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐: ๐๐ ๐๐จ๐ซ ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐๐๐ซ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ข๐ง๐๐๐ฅ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฉ๐ญ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง,โ is an AI-powered system designed to support global deliberations on climate change.

Four weeks later, congratualtions to Master student Xie Jingyi for the ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฆ๐ง๐๐ก๐๐๐ก๐ ๐๐ข๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ก๐๐๐๐ง๐๐ข๐ก๐ฆ ๐ฆ๐ง๐จ๐๐๐ก๐ง โ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ง award at ๐๐ต๐ฒ** IPRS (Institute of Public Relations of Singapore) **๐ฃ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ! She designed and co-convened the โTaste Tomorrowโ workshop series, involving over 30 participants per session, where members of the public, scientists, chefs, and industry practitioners collaboratively designed communication strategies and food labeling systems.
